Hybrid Engine Calibration Engineer

Position duties include but are not limited to:

Develop engine calibration for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) products

2.)  Calibrate engine and after-treatment system to achieve PZEV (Green States) and T2B3 (Federal) emission requirements.

3.)  Must generate, update and maintain test programs and communicate status to program.

4.)  Proven ability to understand engine control systems and calibration methodology.

5.)  Knowledge of three-way catalysts and catalyst conversion optimization.

6.)  Vehicle calibration to achieve emissions, OBD-II, drive-ability and fuel economy objectives.

7.) Calibrate feature level software controls and optimize at engine control system level."

Qualifications:

1.)  B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required, M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred

2.)  Demonstrated knowledge of gasoline engine operation and control systems required.

3.)  Must be able to read and interpret C-code software

4.)  Able to work off-shifts and with minimal supervision to deliver objectives.

5.)  Working knowledge of Matlab and Simulink preferred

6.)  Must be able to travel to support environmental testing (hot, cold and altitude) to support in-vehicle calibration.

7.)  Able to review data, draw conclusions and recommend next course of action.

8.)  Familiarity with commercial calibration tools (ATI preferred) and data analysis.

9.)  Strong written and oral presentation skills.

 

Requirements include but not limited to:

Minimum of 3 years Calibration experience on gasoline engines and emissions
