I&E Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer

MeadWestvaco Specialty Chemicals is currently seeking an I&E Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer.  The position will be located in Charleston, SC.

JOB SUMMARY:
The I&E Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer will be responsible for functioning 80% of the time in a supervisory role and 20% of the time assisting in an engineering capacity.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and instrument equipment at the Specialty Chemical Division?s Charleston Plant.  This includes direct supervision of the hourly I/E maintenance mechanics assigned to the Chemical Plant and planning of required I/E maintenance work requests.  This role?s primary objective is to improve instrument/electrical equipment reliability in a safe and cost efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide direct supervision for hourly instrument / electrical maintenance crew to include responsibility for safety, daily work scheduling, job execution, and employee performance.

- Create detailed work plans for instrument / electrical maintenance work requests to include ordering of all necessary repair parts and/or equipment. 

- Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering support for the chemical plant to include design review, evaluation of NEC code requirements, and responsibility for maintaining I/E related documentation and drawings. 

- Secure and manage outside resources (contractors, vendors, consultants, etc.) as needed to provide needed support for I/E related projects and jobs. 

- Provide backup support for the chemical plant?s Process Control group. 

- Provide night and weekend maintenance supervision coverage based on rotating maintenance duty schedule (to include performing maintenance callouts as necessary). 

- Track, document, and provide daily, weekly, and monthly information on maintenance key performance indicators.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) is required.
- Must have 5 or more years experience providing instrument / electrical support in a manufacturing environment. 
- Maintenance experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP?s maintenance module is desirable.
