In House Project Development/Design Project Manager

Lim & Nascimento (LAN) Engineering Corp., a consulting structural and civil engineering firm, has an opportunity for an In House Project Development/Design Project Manager in its San Bernardino office.  LAN is seeking an enthusiastic individual to perform a wide variety of duties.  Individual must be detail-oriented, responsible, quick to learn, and have a professional demeanor.

 

The Project Manager is responsible for the design and preparation of proposals including project approach, scope, fee and schedule, presentation, invoicing, project coordination including chairing meeting, engineering studies and reports including project study reports and project reports, calculations, plans, schedules, specifications and estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects as well as the management of project support personnel.

 

Job Duties

 Will establish and foster client relations and develop proposals Recommends facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out specific tasks on projects. Analyzes and recommends solutions to problems Communicates effectively with various departments, clients, and agencies Mentors Civil Engineering staff

 

Qualifications and skills

 12+ total years exp. in civil engineering 6+ total years exp. in highway engineering 4+ years project management experience 2+ years Caltrans related experience either working for Caltrans or on Caltrans projectsProven expertise in major highway engineering, managing projects in excess of $10,000,000 construction value within budget and with client satisfaction, references required Experience in client relationship management B. Sc. in Civil Engineering, M. S. in Engineering, Management or related field preferredCA Professional Engineering (Civil) license is requiredExpertise in MS applications including PowerPoint and MS Project

 Interchange improvements, reconstruction, modificationFreeway/Highway/Roadway improvements/construction, widening, & reconstructionRail grade separationsAssist in office duties Manage multiple staff on a day to day basis
