Department Description: Motorola is searching for creative talent worldwide to join our Consumer Experience Design (CXD) organization, with offices in Chicago, Beijing, London, Sao Paulo, San Francisco, Seoul and Singapore. We employ a user-centered design approach in order to optimize business strategies, build our brand, ensure usability and develop rich experiences. Our group is responsible for defining the physical and digital experience of Motorola?s mobile devices.

Responsibilities/Expectations: This role is strategic and tactical in nature, managing a specific regional studio team, and working in conjunction with a global studio manager and the category lead/manager.

This is a key design and leadership position for the design team, and mentorship of design quality, managing expectations for teams and overall design quality is the focus. High contribution to actual design inputs, participation in all CXD initiatives and cross CXD coordination is the focus. This team lead reports to the Global Studio Regional Lead

Knowledge Skills: We work in a fast paced dynamic environment as partners with business groups, marketing teams, mechanical and electrical engineering, and our advanced technology labs to create the next design icons of the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate should have a portfolio that that demonstrates a solid product development background, with outstanding design skills and meet the following requirements:

? Define colors, materials, and finishes
? 2D rendering (Photoshop/Illustrator)
? 3D modeling / Rendering (Alias/Rhino)
? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Industrial Design
? Experience in consumer electronics and fashion products a plus
? Exceptional communication skills (writing, listening, presenting)
? English proficiency required; Other languages a plus
