Industrial Designer

Job Description: "This position will assist the Product Development and Marketing teams with product design efforts. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for developing innovative and manufacturable designs for the specified product line(s).
This position will play an integral part in expediting project objectives from conception through production to include design and project management. In addition, the Industrial Designer will ensure all cost measures are met and product parameters are satisfied.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree: B.S.I.D., B.F.A, or B.A.I.D.

2+ years experience in Consumer Product Design & Development.

General construction, plumbing, electrical or other trade experience a plus

Strong portfolio demonstrating creative, artistic, and problem solving skills and the ability to integrate those with functional utility to meet consumer demand and acceptance.

Ability to balance design ownership with realities of manufacturability and engineering.

Ability to work with others as part of the product development process.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to communicate easily with sketches

3D CAD experience (ProEngineer or Alias Studio a plus)
