Information Assurance Engineer

General Dynamics Information Technology has an opening for a Systems/Network Security Engineer in Sierra Vista, AZ. The candidate selected for this position will support the US Army in designing and implementing secure network and IT systems solutions; defining and refining security requirements; conducting technical security test and evaluations; preparing detailed security certification and accreditation documentation in accordance with the DITSCAP methodology; advising supported agencies on DITSCAP requirements and processes; and performing technical risk assessments of IT systems.

Bachelor's degree in related technical field plus minimum 5 years directly related IT security experience.

In-depth knowledge of DITSCAP or similar US Government C&A process; experience using automated vulnerability assessment tools; and hands-on experience securing today's mainstream IT networking and server technologies. Industry recognized certifications a plus.

Strong understanding of and ability to securely configure VLAN, Firewall, IDS, VPN, Router, Switch, and Server technologies is essential.

Security analysis and security test and evaluation of IT systems in support of our Government contractor, to include designing test plans, performing detailed requirements analysis, performing technical system evaluations to determine compliance with regulatory requirements, performing analysis to determine the level of security risk associated with failed requirements as identified during testing, and preparing technical reports describing the test results. Security design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing and modification of computer and network systems, including prototypes, based on design specifications.
