Instrumenation and Control Group Leader

Responsibilities: The qualified candidate will lead a group of instrumentation and control, automation, and electrical engineers to provide professional engineering services to clients in both the municipal and industrial markets. Responsibilities include:
Provide direct assistance with business development; meet with clients to develop new business,develop proposals, presentations with potential clients.
Develop scopes of work, schedules, budgets for new projects.
Supervise staff, including assigning staff to projects, provide annual staff performance appraisals.
Review staffing requirements and hire/reduce staff as required.
Provide monthly management reports as required.
Perform as lead instrumentation and control engineer on appropriate projects.
Perform final review of projects and assure QA/QC requirements are met.

Requirements:
Professional engineering registration by examination, preferably in California or ability to get reciprocity in California.
A minimum of a B.S. with 13 to 15 years of applicable experience, preferably in the water/wastewater field.
Must possess outstanding technical knowledge and performance in a leadership role and mature and creative judgment and problem solving capabilities.
Technical writing ability, including reports, letters, specifications, and proposals is required.
Must be experienced in client presentations.
Proficient with standard office software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point).
Type of previous experience should include:
Water/wastewater design (7 to 10 years).
PLC programming (5 to 10 years). Modicon, Siemens, or Allen Bradley PLC experience is a plus.
HMI Configuration (5 to 10 years).
Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX, Wonderware or RS View experience is a plus.
Startup and commissioning (5 to 10 years).
