Instrumentation Engineer

Plan, develop, design, and maintain instrumentation systems for one or more test programs to provide measurement data required by the Engineering Department and/or contractual obligations. Under direction of a Sr. Instrumentation Engineer, plan and design instrumentation systems and procedures to produce a wide range of data for evaluation programs. Develop systems to obtain data utilizing existing or new equipment. Supervise the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of equipment and systems giving consideration to measurement range, required accuracy, and sensitivity. Determine calibration methods and standards and verify results. Serve as focal point for data base entry into a computerized instrumentation system.

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.

Background in Instrumentation and/or electronics with knowledge of computers and computer systems. Preferred 2 years experience in electrical, instrumentation, or computer related disciplines.

This assignment will include training on ground and flight instrumentation efforts and instrumentation system maintenance. Travel will be required, up to 30%.
