Instrumentation Engineer III, Mechanical

Digene, a biomedical industry leader that develops, manufactures, and markets proprietary DNA and RNA tests for the detection, screening and monitoring of human diseases, has an immediate opportunity for an instrumentation Engineer, Mechanical.
?
Responsibilities include conducting and coordinating design changes or modifications to biomedical instruments.? Performing and leading design efforts for new or replacement products, from inception? to world-wide commercialization using stringent design control and validation protocols.? Investigate vendor and customer reported nonconformities, and translate into product improvement initiatives.? Perform verification and validation tests as needed, and write subsequent reports.? Create technical specification for purchased items.?
?
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, and 7-10 years of experience with instrumentation, machinery design, and automated equipment.? In-depth working knowledge of dimensioning & tolerances, CAD, and design control.? Experience in leading and conducting design changes, new product development and validation.
