Instrumentation & Controls (Designers and Engineers)

Principal Technical Services, a leading West Coast provider of technical and professional staffing, is seeking candidates for several positions we have open for Instrumentation and Control Systems Designers and Engineers  in the

Southern California and Central Valley areas these positions include:

 

CONTROL SYSTEMS DESIGNER - Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with autocad, release 2000 or later.  Skills required include control panel, control systems layout and design with a heavy emphasis in electrical schematics, process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), general panel construction layout.  Candidates should have experience working within the petrochemical and refinery industries.

 

ELECTRICAL DESIGNERS with experience within the oil, gas, petrochemical or refinery industries.  Skills required include Familiaritywith conduit fittings and materials required for motor control stations, instrument connections, etc.

Candidates should  have field experience in the petroleum refinery environment and be familiar with the use and care of personal safety equipment. Familiar with single-lines diagrams, P&ID's, panel schedules, motor schematics and connection diagrams.  Must be proficient in on AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.

 

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS Candidates must have a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering (P.E. license is a definite plus) with 5 - 10 years of heavy industry experience (refining, petrochem, power, etc.) and proven success with experience in application and specification of electrical and power systems for refineries.

 

INSTRUMENTATION DESIGNERS Requirements include stron PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.  Working knowledge of Microstation, AutoCad, INTools, Autoplant and Microsoft Office.

 

ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER (wastewater) Electrical, Instrumentation and Control experience in numerous facets of Industrial construction and construction management, including Commission and startup. Maintain as-built electrical, loop and P&ID drawings.  Troubleshoot control problems. Interpret contract documents. Prepare technical, daily, and progress reports. Interface with plant staff, contractors and Design Engineers. Assist in loop checking, commissioning, startup and control optimization.  Design expertise in electrical, instrumentation and control.  Familiar with standards contained in the Uniform Building Code and National Electric Code, blueprint reading, sketches, schematics and the County Building Department Permit process.  Strong background in technical procedures and project management.  Ability to read and comprehend technical material.  Computer experience in Windows 95/98/2000/XP Pro, MS Office Suite, Excel, Corel Word Perfect, AutoCAD 2000 and various other computer software
