Interior Furnishings and Equipment Designer

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. The primary task for this position is to participate in the design concept development of aircraft interiors and exterior paint schemes for all helicopter mission scenarios including Executive transport, Search/Rescue, Passenger transport and Emergency Medical Service. This work will cross all Sikorsky product models including S92, BlackHawk, SeaHawk, Heavy Lift and S76. Responsibilities include overall interior arrangement development, layout drawings, individual design development, specification writing, interior renderings, exterior renderings, aesthetic development, customer meetings, PDR/CDR support, proposal support and Completion Center support. The candidate must work with, and cross between, all product platform teams with an emphasis of product line commonality. Candidate must work with associated engineering attributes such as Airframe, Airframe Structures, Mass Properties, Pilots Office, Human Factors, Engineering Test and system safety. A solid Industrial Design background is required.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design. A graduate degree is highly desirable.

Requires a minimum of 3-5 years aircraft seat design experience and ALIAS proficient. New graduates will be considered.

Requires a strong Industrial Design background, ability to work with multi-functional teams, capable of working multiple projects simultaneously, can communicate effectively and have excellent skills in computer generated renderings and illustrations. Some travel is involved with this position.
