International Business Development Manager - California

I am working on an opening with a major military electronic company located in Southern California. I am advertising in your area in order to attract candidates interested in moving to Southern California. This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance.

 

Will lead business development and marketing activities for foreign military sales and civil aviation markets. Will work on sales of electronics systems that involve large contracts of $5-100 million. Support the development of long range strategic plans. Establish roadmaps for enabling technologies and capabilities required to attain product enhancements or new product capture targets. Identify and qualify new business opportunities, prepare competitive assessments, prepare capture plans and develop associated business development metrics. Implement actions to achieve new business capture goals. Work closely with program management and engineering teams to establish and meet performance goals.

 

Bachelors degree in a technical discipline is required plus at least eight years experience in Foreign Military Sales business development. Should have demonstrated success at procuring programs in the international and FMS industry. Should have strategic alliances with several key contacts in the FMS and in international civil aviation.

 

Experience with sales of high dollar advanced electronics systems such as radars, avionics, air traffic control, command and control systems, electro-optical and infrared systems, electronic warfare is required.

 

This job will entail 50% travel. Full relocation to Southern California is available. Salary is in the $120-$130K range with some flexibility.
