Jr. Developer Programmer

This position is located in our VA, Chantilly facility

Performs system analysis, design, development, test and evaluation activities, ensures the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, survivability, human and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Formulates operational concept, performs mission and functional analyses, conducts requirements and information analysis, cost-benefit analysis, system trade studies, and risk analysis. Selects system architecture, allocates requirements and prepares specifications.

Requires Bachelor's degree.

Requires minimum 2 years experience.

Duties: Solves complex application development problems. Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Responsible for developing and implementing applications. Develops plans for Information Technology (IT) systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests. Coordinates with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program according to system specifications. Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions. Prepares test plans and test data to test the proposed system.
