 Design Engineer (Software)

To independently design, development, debug and test of software and/or firmware on hardware platforms that utilize one or more of the following: operating system (OS), real-time operating system (RTOS), or embedded code. Should be able to act in the role of Lead Engineer for software development projects, directing the activities of Design Engineer I and Design Engineer II on a project from start to finish. Should possess project management skills including scheduling and resource allocation forecasting.



 

Primary responsibilities

Embedded software design (C, C++, some assembler)

 

Job requirements

5 ? 10 years experience, automotive focus, also white goods. Able to adapt to multiple processor families; ability to work with the hardware engineers (hardware design experience a plus), familiar with system engineering principles as well as disciplined software process (configuration management, defect tracking, validation methods).

 

Contract duration

3 - 6 month contract duration. Possible permanent opportunity.

 

Interview process

Local candidates are strongly preferred. Phone interview followed by an on-site interview on the week of July 10.
