The role is focused on the product and R&D while also simultaneously building a culture of continuous improvement in the R&D groups. Specific emphasis will be placed on the design and realization stages. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Currently employed and engaged in lean R&D and/or product design specialist or management role and impacting both design and realization phases of the PD cycle. Three to ten-years management experience driving the Toyota Production System principals, methods, and tools in a durable goods product-engineering environment is required. Must provide demonstrated cost and revenue achievements and results. Thorough knowledge and application of set-based concurrent engineering methods and practices with extensive prototyping at the subsystem level similar to the Toyota Production System Product Development environment is required. Three to fifteen years? product/R&D engineering specialist or leadership experience required. Experience to include cross-functional (Obeya) action and countermeasure consensus approach for the design and realization stages required. Intrinsic, top-down business problem solving experience in providing strategic guidance to the top management. Technical undergraduate degree required. MS/MBA preferred. Business acumen commensurate with ?C-level? presentations and discussions is required. Flexibility to travel overnight domestically - frequently and consistently.
