LNG Engineer

AGL Resources are not content to do business in the same old way. Today, AGL Resources is positioned to become the preeminent distributor of natural gas along the east coast, providing service through six utilities, two gas storage facilities and an asset management company.

Our corporate engineering team is seeking a talented individual for a Senior LNG Engineer position located at our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

As Senior Engineer, you have 6-8 years natural gas / plant experience with 3 years minimum involving a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) / Natural Gas Peak-shaving facilities.  You'll analyze plant operations and provide engineering and technical support for 5 existing LNG plants and additional peak-shaving/storage facilities including process and equipment improvements.

Work will include design, equipment selection, documentation ? operating and maintenance manuals, P&IDs, etc. and project management.  Position may provide support and design of systems that monitor plant performance data, control operation of equipment (e.g., valves, logic controllers, motor controls), provide operations safety and security, establish maintenance procedures for compressors, scrubbers, evaporators, and refrigeration equipment that liquefy and vaporize natural gas and release stored gas into distribution system. The ideal candidate may also have experience in process safety, formal project management, propane-air plants, Instrumentation & Controls, and professional engineering license.  The qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of Federal Code PART 193--LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FACILITIES: FEDERAL SAFETY STANDARDS, NFPA 59A
