Land Development Engineer

MRO Engineers was founded in 1991 to focus on the planning and design of transportation infrastructure and site development projects for both public agencies (federal, state and local) and private clients. We are a Caltrans Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, a State of California and U.S. Small Business Administration Certified Small Business, and employ 25 professional and support staff in our Rocklin corporate office and our statewide construction management offices. MRO Engineers provides multi-disciplinary services including the planning, funding, design, and construction management of transportation and land and site development projects.

We have a need for Land Development Engineer in our top-flight professional organization. We are looking for someone who has a myriad of experience in private land and site development including development construction documents and processing the documents through the agencies to obtain the needed approvals.

Job Responsibilities:

Conducting the design and production of land/site development projects (including projects currently under contract) ensuring that high quality products are produced within the schedule that our clients require
Assisting with the processing of project approvals through the various local agencies and special districts
Ensuring that all administrative duties of the land development projects are attended to in a prompt and efficient manner. These include the development of contracts, sub- consultant agreements, invoices, etc. for signature by the owners of the firm
Training and mentoring of more junior level engineers and drafters
Supporting the marketing efforts of land/site development-related proposals, as requested by the firm principals

Job Requirements:

5 to 10+ years experience in development of private land development (residential) and site development (commercial) projects
Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California
Occasional travel to conduct field visits and consult with clients
Ability to maintain good client relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
