Land Development Manager

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This position is accountable for managing the cost estimating, engineering, design and development process of specific projects for Crosland Land; providing assistance to the Project Manager during due diligence on prospective projects and maintaining the neighborhood appearance of each Crosland Land project.  Will prepare preliminary cost estimates, prepare engineered cost estimates, prepare RFP?s, prepare final cost estimates, prepare project schedules for due diligence through all construction, contract for and manage the Engineering and Design, select and manage consultants and contractors, manage contractors in site work and building construction, develop and maintain relationships with vendors and clients, maintain the neighborhood appearance during the duration of the project, review and approve all contractor invoices and report on the project progress, both budget and schedule.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of related job experience and a Bachelor?s degree in a related field. Requires excellent technical skills with ability to manage numerous resources. Experience with and proven understanding of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, horizontal land development, quality control, and contracts.  Experience with hiring and managing consultants and contractors, and experience with contract administration. Ability to give direction, adapt to change/flexibility, establish relationships, build consensus and work in team environment. Ability to produce reporting with regard to budget, schedule and quality; ability to resolve conflict; ability to write and define scopes of works for consultants and contractors; and Ability to read and understand design and construction documents. Computer literacy (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and Project Scheduling).
