We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor for one of our highly respected privately owned companies that maintains an informed and progressive, professional staff of licensed engineers, land surveyors, survey party chiefs, instrument persons, engineering technicians, construction observers and administrative staff.

Land Surveyor Duties:In this staff position you are responsible for surveying services that include boundary surveys; land development and subdivision platting; legal descriptions; topographical mapping surveys; land/corner documentation; engineering design and construction surveys.
Manage and schedule field survey crews, manage and upload and download all field data, prepare and calculate all construction staking data, perform office boundary calculations and analysis, perform records research, prepare proposed work bids, perform peer review on all out-going plats, distribute drafting work to Cadd techs, direct Cadd techs in the preparation of Plats.
In this staff position you are committed to the continuous improvement of the quality of service provided to their clients by attending ongoing professional and staff training, while utilizing the most current state-of-the-art survey equipment and computer systems for design analysis, plan preparation, mapping and information processing.
Perform and manage boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM and GPS surveys for a variety of projects.
Prepare and review boundary and topographic surveys, construction layout, subdivision Plats and legal descriptions.
Responsible for preparing boundary analysis, prepare legal descriptions, research boundary and title history, create record maps for subdivisions and surveys.
Responsible for scheduling and managing field crews, managing project schedules, managing project budgets and CADD technicians to ensure work is done properly and accurately.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Geomatics, Surveying/Engineering or equivalent.
Must be a Licensed Land Surveyor in Iowa or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
Minimum of 10 years experience being responsible for surveying services that include boundary surveys; land development and subdivision platting; legal descriptions; topographical mapping surveys; land/corner documentation; engineering design and construction surveys.
Minimum of 5 years experience being able to manage and schedule field survey crews, manage and upload and download all field data, prepare and calculate all construction staking data, perform office boundary calculations and analysis, perform records research, prepare proposed work bids, perform peer review on all out-going plats, distribute drafting work to Cadd techs, direct Cadd techs in the preparation of Plats.
