Land Surveyor / Project Manager

Prime Engineering, Inc. is an employee-owned, full-service surveying and engineering consulting firm, based in Atlanta, Georgia.  We are currently seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to begin immediately. 

 

Candidate must have previous field experience and 3+ years experience using Land Desktop and AutoCAD software.  LSIT preferred. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities include:

 

Responsible for the preparation of boundary, topographic, stakeout, and ALTA/ACSM surveys, data collection, survey calculations, preparation of stakeout and CAD applications for all aspects of land surveying.  Responsible for uploading/downloading field notes, editing field data, survey calculations.

 

Responsible for surface modeling, lot grading, and as-built preparation. Will assist surveyors with calculating boundaries from record maps and deeds.

 

Responsibilities include the extraction of coordinate data from subdivision plats and engineering plans; the calculation of points, offsets, cut and fill information from grading plans including the creation of coordinate files and plots for field personnel; the preparation of legal descriptions and exhibits for utility, access, slope and construction easements; the ability to analyze field data and perform adjustments to horizontal and vertical control loops; the preparation of survey plats and drawings to different jurisdictional requirements.

 

Software

 

Proficiency in AutoCAD Land Desktop 2000 or greater is required.  Survey Project Managers provide input to the representative of the survey staff on the CAD Committee in order to develop CAD Standards for Quality Control / Quality Assurance.  Candidate should also have knowledge in the use of specialized software such as Carlson C & G and Trimble Survey Controller.
