Lead/CAD Designer

CITY: Bethlehem STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
LEAD CAD DESIGNER:
*Creates design layouts of intricate devices and products to accurate scale from notes, inspections, sketches, or other instructions.
* Provides detail drawings from machine parts, assemblies, outlines and piping layouts.
* Maintains Bills of Material for assigned projects.
* Checks intricate finished drawings for errors of design, detail, or other factors affecting the finished product for conformity to approved machine layouts and company design - drafting standards.

CAD DESIGNER:

*Creates design layouts of intricate devices and products to accurate scale from notes, inspections, sketches, or other instructions.

Qualifications/Requirements:
LEAD CAD DESIGNER:
* Completion of vocational or related technical in High School training from a vocational or approved technical school especially in Drafting or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5 years or more experience in design / drafting.
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2002 or later version.

CAD DESIGNER:
*Completion of vocational or a related technical High School training from a vocational or approved technical school especially in Drafting or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
*Minimum of 2 years experience in design / drafting.
*Proficient in AutoCAD 2002 or later version.
TRAVEL: Minimum 5% (Domestic & Intl)

* You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
* If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating

Desired:
* Ability to perform dimensional inspection of equipment.
* 3D modeling experience using Unigraphics or ProEngineer
* Self motivated team player.
* Interpersonal & communication skills.
* Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
