Lead Engineer/Technologist

CITY: Cincinnati STATE: Ohio COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Engineers at GE Aviation are responsible for the design, development and test of aircraft engines or engine components. They are accountable to ensure that the product meets performance criteria, weight, and fit and function specifications. As such, they are the backbone of innovation and quality that have been the hallmark of GE products and services for its 114 year history.
* Execute aerodynamic design and validation of aircraft engine inlets, and exhaust systems.
* Responsibilities include frequent interactions with engineering systems organizations and external customers including major aircraft manufacturers, NASA, US armed services, and other government agencies.
* Executes the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
* Provides technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
* Documents technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
* Provides timely communications on significant issues or developments.
* Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
* Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors of Science in Engineering
* At least 3 years of experience in an Engineering position
* Working knowledge of aerodynamics applications and systems.
* Proficient in the use of PC and/or UNIX based computer platforms.
* Apply advanced computational methods, (CFD), and/or experimental techniques, to solve complex problems.
* Candidates must be capable of obtaining a US government security clearance.
