Lean/Sigma Process Excellence Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION: Lean/Sigma Process Excellence Leader being sought by a growing Chemical Company.  Position can be located in the South, Midwest, North East ? near major Airport hubs.  Job focus is to work across U.S. at various manufacturing Plant sites evaluating, implementing, managing Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing enhancement projects.  Job duties include:
Train Plant site specific Process Excellence Team and Plant Leadership in the ?process?.
Facilitate meeting related to process activities.
Ensure that progress and milestones are being achieved.
Report site progress to Site Process Excellence Team, Site Leadership, Process Excellence Diagnostics Team Leader, V.P. Manufacturing.
Coach/mentor site Process Excellence Team and Plant Leadership on process methodologies.
Develop appropriate training materials as needed.
Conduct cross-functional sharing of projects, events, best practices.
Will require 75% travel.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree.  Prefer Chemical Engineering.
Masters degree a plus.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired.
Minimum 4 years experience in Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing project/process improvement work.
Solid Financial/Business acumen.
Proficient computer usage (Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
Able to travel 75%.
