ConMed Electrosurgery, a medical device manufacturer & marketer of electrosurgical equipment & disposable products, has an opening for a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer.

 

Description of Duties:  

This position is responsible for providing production aids &/or specifying equipment having positive impact on productivity, quality & repeatability.  In addition:

?  Assist in new product first builds

?  Analyze & predict success of device production design & capability of manufacture

?  Participate in the validation of process of equipment &/or processes.

?  Administer assigned special projects involving time standards, cost & alternatives

?  Conduct time & motion studies 

?  Automate &/or improve production lines

?  Ensure repeatability & maintain quality in design & manufacture of jigs & fixtures

?  Contribute to facility planning & requirement definitions

?  Maintain performance validation documentation regarding manufacturing equipment & processes.

?  Provide training & development to junior engineers & inters as needed

? Maintain consistency within approved published operating procedures & safety practices, operating in compliance with Quality System & FDA Regulations & applicable ISO 13485 requirements.

 

Qualifications:

?  Possess a bachelor?s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

?  Have a minimum of five years experience in production related atmosphere

?  Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, elector-mechanical & Pneumatic devices

?  Demonstrate knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts & injection molding

?  Demonstrate knowledge of time standard measurements &/or statistical process control

?  Demonstrate knowledge of drafting & true dimension tolerance

?  Possess a positive background in high volume, low cost, product field

?  Be fully bi-lingual in English & Spanish (oral & written)

?  Able to lift up to 35 lbs

?  Spend approximately 75% of the time in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
