MANUFACTURING & PROCESS ENGINEER

Entech has an immediate need for a manufacturing and process engineer.

 



Job Title:  Manufacturing & Process Engineer

Department:  Engineering

Reports To (Title):  Director of Manufacturing Engineering

T Full Time- This is a direct hire position 

 



Purpose: Provide manufacturing support on processes as required by the company.  Writes and/or designs specifications for special machines, assembly and test equipment, gages and documentation.  Follows design and build to maintain cost, delivery, quality and functionality.  To create a proposed part process using the appropriate software programs to provide a potential process and costs to be Quoted and if accepted passed to the Engineering Departments. Processes drawings and information to determine the potential equipment and material needed to manufacture a certain part.

Essential Duties:

-Secures current drawings or available information (part prints, CAD pictures, notes, etc)

-Compares new drawings to old drawings for changes (if applicable)

-Creates a simulation shop floor CNC program/process using the DMI Process Model.

-Determines all necessary tooling and gaging needed to do complete the process

-Collects all outside equipment & material quotes from the component quoter

-Enters data into financial software

-Prepares forms necessary for quote submission

-Reviews quotes with appropriate people

-Prepares spreadsheets to track document changes

-Updates processes and equipment changes for Engineering use for all SO level changes

-Work with launch teams to implement new production lines.

-Develop and maintain process documentation.

-Implement annual cost reductions on manufacturing floor.

-Lead 5-S and Kaisan activities.

-Facilitate cutting tool and cycle time improvements.

-Develop operator training programs and preventative maintenance requirements on all new equipment.

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, CNC programming and set up experience, plant floor experience, oral and written communication skills, computer skills.  Must be analytical.  MUST HAVE MACHINING BACKGROUND - AUTOMOTIVE
