MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Ossid Corpration, a Division of Pro Mach Inc., located in Rocky Mount, NC, is a recognized leader in the manufacture of stainless steel high-speed stretch shrink-wrapping machines for case ready poultry and thermoforming, horizontal form fill, and seal packaging machines.

 

Primary job responsibilities will be to develop and prepare mechanical designs of product machinery.  Will handle multiple projects concurrently, frequently in a team environment, and will be involved in hands-on solution of assembly issues and field problems.

Experience:  Minimum 4 yrs exp in machine design preferablely in the packaging machinery industry.  Solid Works software.  Good communication skills

Education:   Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred background would include design knowledge in applications of:

-  Electromechanical Systems

-  Drive Systems

-  Pneumatics

-  Conveyors

-  Machined and Fabricated Parts (including manufacturing methods)

-  Shafts, bearings and housings,

-  Drive components

-  Mounting Plates and Precision Spacers

-  Structural Frame Weldments
