MEMS Process Engineer

CITY: Fremont STATE: California COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Responsible for the MEMS process development and process flow to generate prototypes for the foundry business and New Products.
* Develop MEMS processes and establish the process flows for new and existing products.
* Generate prototypes for the foundry business and new product projects.
* Support the Research & Development (R&D) team in developing new products and transferring new products to manufacturing.
* Develop tool and design improvements to reduce product cost, improve cycle time and improve product quality.
* Work closely with the manufacturing team to resolve issues and develop solutions to problems with equipment and systems.
* Participate as member on New Product Development Team.
* Establish specifications as required and improve manufacturing techniques and processes.
* Clearly document processes and projects including presenting the information to all levels of the organization.
* In depth knowledge of MEMS technology and MEMS development processes.
* Knowledge of Wafer Fabrication processes including wafer bonding, KOH etch, deep reactive ion etch.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of previous Semiconductor Process Engineering experience.
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline or related field (or high school diploma/GED and 10 years experience in a Semiconductor Process Engineering role)
* Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work in a clean-room environment including wearing appropriate clean room protective clothing.

* If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating (e.g. Highly Valued)

Desired:
* Prior experience working with MEMS processes and products.
* Strong computer data analysis, problem solving and decision making skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts into business terms that are understood by audiences at all technical levels and at all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and be a contributing team member.
* Solid understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Six Sigma Quality programs & processes.
