- Lead a group of technical resources to improve the injection molding process. This would include improving molds, mold tooling, molding equipment and processing.
- Lead the investigation and implementation of successfully demonstrated practices. Examples.scientific injection molding, shotscope, mold cleaning methods, material handling, metal detectors...
- Analysis of data to define projects and prioritize activities and investment accordingly, for both molds and machines (ie, criminal molds, criminal molding presses, repeat repair issues, mold design changes to eliminate failure modes..).
- Creation of data collection methods for molding production and mold shop if existing databases don't meet our needs.
- Responsible for developing and driving the standardization of molding equipment and auxiliaries, standardization of process sheets and compliance among the production and mold engineering community.
- Capable of being a molding process and tooling expert for consultation and guidance to the mold engineering community.
- Higher level management of the molding tool shop. Define projects, implement methods and/or organizational changes to improve efficiency.
- Evaluate make vs. buy costs for spare tooling and determine sourcing alternatives for spare tooling.
- Responsible for reducing molding cost per hour through cost improvement projects and continuous improvement programs to increase utilization, uptime, efficiency and drive scrap reduction
- Responsible for assessing skills within molding production and shop areas and matching skills to requirements. Identify areas where improvement of skills are required and implement training plans to meet requirements.

B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent work experience. Mold engineering, injection molding, project management experience preferred.
