MODELING & SIMULATION (M&S) ENGINEER

Mid-level dynamic systems modeling and simulation (M&S) engineer required with a minimum of two years of experience in industry or comparable academic experience. Seeking candidates with an applicable Masters Degree or exceptionally qualified BSME/EE (this would need to be thoroughly explained in the cover letter for consideration). The ideal applicant is a generalist with experience in a wide range of ground vehicle projects including an emphasis on modeling vehicle suspension performance and handling.

 

The candidate must have proficiency with creating dynamic models in Matlab/Simulink, a firm grasp of C programming, and a solid, efficient approach for modeling strategies and techniques. Experience with NRMM II, SimMechanics, CarSim, TruckSim, CFD analysis, and control system design are desirable, but not required. Experience with autonomous navigation, world map generation, sensor fusion, dynamic cosimulation, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, and embedded controls development are also desirable, but not required.

 

This is not an FEA modeling position.

Applicant must be an aggressive self-starter with the ability to handle concurrent fast-paced projects with minimal direction. 3-D CAD literacy is a big plus. Good writing and communications skills are required. Previous automotive design experience is preferred, but not required. Active participation in SAE design competitions during college is a huge plus.
