POSITION DESCRIPTION

- This position is responsible for the designing, developing and testing the process equipment used in the production of fiber cement.
- You will also design equipment or systems of diverse/difficult scope and complexity for projects using a variety of engineering principles from mechanical, chemical, electrical, or other engineering disciplines.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs by analyzing or creating equipment specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capability.
- Perform diverse and complex design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of mechanical or electromechanical components, subsystems, and systems by applying engineering principles and developing new or unique analysis tools as required.
- Determine feasibility of designing new equipment or modifying existing equipment considering technical and economic factors, available resources, time constraints, and company vision.
- Apply advanced analytical methods, creating design solutions, and establishing engineering plans.
- Able to interpret engineering data and prepare engineering deliverables, work on capital projects, budgeting and scheduling, mechanical specifications, piping and material specs, equipment specs, review quotes from vendors, excellent communication skills, verbal and written, Industrial, plant or refinery background desired.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
- 8-10 yrs experience minimum
- Project management and Supervisory experience a plus
- Creative and able to research processes and projects
- Experience in developing innovative designs and approach to solving problems
- Experience with design, operations and testing Plant manufacturing equipment
- Machine design experience and ability to generate fabrication drawings.
- Experience with performing calculations
- Process and manufacturing experience a plus Background in Plant design preferred.
- Material conveyance experience preferred
- Proven experience with RFQs, Specifications and managing projects
- Great verbal and written communication skills required
