Our client is a major chemical company seeking a Machinery Engineer who will work in a central reliability staff position and be a lead engineer on machinery issues across multiple plant sites and on large capital projects throughout the company. This role will be international in scope but with a focus mainly on domestic plants. The travel will average approximately 30%. The corporate Machinery Engineer is expected to provide a high level of technical expertise to machinery reliability issues and support all phases of the project lifecycle involving rotating equipment.

 

This position requires interaction with projects, operations, reliability groups, and will support all types and sizes of rotating equipment including: all types of pumps, compressors, fans, gear boxes, gas and steam turbines etc. The Machinery Engineer will also be involved in establishing best practices and machinery standards throughout the company and participate in key RCFA's and Reliability Centered Maintenance/Best Practice Committees.

 

REQUIREMENTS: The qualified candidate will have

? 10 + years of experience in a chemical plant or refinery

? BS ME

? In-depth experience with machinery used in these chemical or refining industries, and

? Vibration and lubrication experience is a plus.

SALARY-BENEFITS:

? Salary to 110k (possibly higher for a high degree of expertise in machinery)

? 0-5 %  bonus
