Machinist - Diagnostic Mechanic

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

-The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of large machining equipment in the Processing Machine Shop with minimal supervision.
-Duties include:
*Aligning and balancing equipment to demanding tolerances and rebuilding mechanical parts of electric motors, pump parts and gear boxes.
-The machinist will perform job responsibilities in various weather conditions and work overtime and call-outs as required and will be required to work overtime as needed.
-Other duties may be assigned as the need dictates.

Minimum Requirements:

-Must have served a four (4) year apprenticeship or have equivalent experience in an industrial machine shop setting.
-Must own basic machinist tools
-Excellent safety and attendance record
-Must have a satisfactory work record
-Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs in weight
-Must be able to comprehend and work from mechanical drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

-Basic computer skills
-Pass a basic practical application welding test
