Maintenance Engineering Manager - 0600205

Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., a Fortune 500 company and a world leader in surface enhancement and related technologies, has a unique opportunity for a Maintenance Engineering Manager at their Main Street Plant. This position will provide overall leadership and direction for the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program at the Main Street facility. Couples technical expertise with plant systems knowledge to provide equipment maintenance, utilities oversight, project management, capital improvement, engineering: facilities maintenance and systems support to production.

Works with operations leadership to perform the following duties:
1. Ergonomics champion to assure tolling, equipment and work stations have been designed and implemented with full ergonomic impact having been considered to minimize risk of injury.
2. Generate operating procedures, policies and maintenance programs as needed to comply with PST, State, Local, and Federal regulatory agencies.
3. Produce capital requests. Monitor expenditures and provide feedback to project leaders and Accounting on project status. Assist in determining feasibility and costs of future projects.
4. Establish and maintain department performance metrics to ensure efficient execution of maintenance support function.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) plus 5+ years of facilities or equipment relation experience is required. As well as 2+ years Management experience. Candidates will be able to effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience in a "hands-on" environment. Have personal computer proficiency and project management experience. Experience with control systems, programmable logic controllers, and process equipment typically used in manufacturing environment. Must be able to communicate ideas orally, in writing and lead a project team. Six Sigma trained: green belt, black belt preferred
