Maintenance Expense Analyst for Major Refinery

Our client is one of the world's most admired petroleum corporations! This company has a strong presence in the Southern California refining market, and operates a state-of-the-art production facility near Los Angeles that employs over 1000 people in the local economy.

 

Due to ongoing growth in the facility, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Expense Analyst.

 

In this role, you will manage the development of both tactical and long-range maintenance expense plans, and facilitate the annual Maintenance Budget Development process. You'll use past performance information and knowledge of upcoming events to develop a zero-based annual maintenance expense budget. You will also maintain the long-range Maintenance Expense plan, considering the impact of turnarounds, capital projects, and feedstock changes on the maintenance expense needs for the refinery.

 

You will also analyze performance in order to identify plant opportunties for cost improvement, benchmark vs. industry performance, and understand & communicate expense drivers, and report performance results during forums, roundtables, and committee meetings.

We are very interested in individuals with the following background:


BS degree in Engineering or Business (required)
5 or more years of applicable experience in a petroleum refinery
Maintenance expense analysis, cost control, and/or budget development facilitation experience is preferred 
Demonstrated leadership skills and a high level of facilitation and influencing skills
Business and IT competencies are desired
