Manager 2, Engineering-Field

This position will be responsible for prioritizing tasks and dispatching field personnel for site maintenance, repair, and outage response. Working to develop new methods and procedures for use by field personnel in accordance with engineering objectives, while insuring compliance with established standard operating procedures. Actively participate in budget process by researching pricing, new technologies, software, hardware, test equipment, etc. Be cognizant of purchases in order to save money long term, increase efficiencies, keeping up to date with technology plans determining how these plans can affect the company. Providing technical assistance as required and developing new leaders. Supervisor must be able to troubleshoot complex outside plant issues regarding telco, microwave, RF, transmission lines, power, and grounding with little to no assistance in remote locations, as well as discussing and instructing technicians on troubleshooting skills. Position will require individual to make sound business decisions quickly while always ensuring customer focus as well as keeping the company bottom line as part of the equation. Diligently work across departmental lines while pursuing and sharing knowledge with peers and subordinates, in an effort to help make that person stronger and more capable than before. Repeatedly do things in order to improve performance of the people not only on your team but those you interface with. Take advantage of opportunities to recognize successful efforts of your team and successes of those outside your team. Must be capable of directing and leading teams, empowering others and driving accountability. Foster teamwork and cross- functional cooperation in order to create a positive work environment. Constantly reviewing processes and policies to find more effective ways to accomplish goals. Knowledge of BTS equipment and its interfacing with telco and network switching equipment required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 4 v 6 years Wireless telecommunications field operations experience. Excellent verbal and written communications. Ability to work shifts and on- call as needed. Clean driving record/license is required.
