Manager, Flight Assurance

Direct and coordinate flight assurance activities including design assurance engineering, EEE parts, reliability engineering, flight and ground safety, and configuration and data management, in support of one or more programs.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure all space related products and services are delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, and fully compliant to all contractual requirements.
Responsible for the review and approval of suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance. Review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Interface with and develop/give presentations to all levels of management, employees, customers and suppliers.

4-year/Bachelors degree required; 6 years experience in the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Project).
Multiple assurance disciplines (quality, reliability, parts, safety, s/w QA, nonconformance handling, config. control, etc.)
Effective interfacing with suppliers and internal and external customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Some travel is required ' up to 25% during peak workload periods.
Knowledge of FRB/MRB processes.
Management skills are required (budgeting, motivating, planning, process improvement, etc.)
Systems engineering skills (requirements development, flow-down, management, verification, etc.)
