JOB DESCRIPTION

The MANAGER, OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE-MBB will:

? Assist in the coordination and development of the Operational Excellence deployment plan

? Assist senior leaders and Champions in selecting projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies.

? Coach and mentor company-wide Black Belt and Green Belt candidates to ensure timely completion of their commercial and/or process improvement projects and certification

? Lead divisional improvement projects of significant size and scope

? Assist in the delivery of Black Belt, Green Belt, LEAN, or DFSS course material

? Assist leadership in establishing baseline and target metrics for key business/functional processes

? Ensure project tracking dashboard is maintained and results communicated monthly to Global Director of Process Operational Excellence.

? Work with leadership in installing organizational supports for Operational Excellence (reviews, communications, reward, software, etc.)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful MANAGER, OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE-MBB candidate will have:

? BS/BA in business or engineering/MBA or MS in engineering preferred

? Certification as a Master Black Belt from a recognized authority

? 7 years experience in business operations and/or plant manufacturing/engineering, 3+ years in process improvement success

? Excellent training and communication skills

? Proven ability to coach and mentor others

? Proven ability to manage in a matrix team environment

? Proven ability to directly lead and/or co-lead multiple high-impact process improvement projects

? Strong project management, planning and organizational abilities

? Training and proven accomplishments in Six Sigma methodologies, LEAN, DFSS

? Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point
