Manager Product Reliability/Quality/Engineer

 

A major manufacturer of sheet metal products is in search of a Product Reliability/Quality Engineer.  This position is located in Orange, California. 

 

This position is responsible for new product development, reviewing dates, process implementation and insuring testing is done properly.  Will also be responsible for cost out programs and support for all cost reduction programs.  Will process Engineering change notices, review construction, make corrections to drawings; recertification's and notify the appropriate agencies.

 

The safety and design of FMEA's and completion of all FMEA's on all products is required.  Documention of tests and agency reports along with review of safety and warning labels, literature, and placement of warning labels. 

 

Will be working with Risk Manager, Corporate Legal and Corporate R & D.  Works with manufacturing to ensure all existing processes and products have robust manufacturing processes to ensure the elimination of potential product safety issues.

 

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering and has numerous working relationships with all Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality Control and appropriate agencies.

 

In addition this function interfaces frequently with all remote locations including Canada and Mexico.

 

Requirements:

 

BSME degree

Experience in Product Reliability

Product Testing

Background involving Six-Sigma and manufacturing

Spanish would be helpful.
