MANAGER, PRODUCT & TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER



Teridian Semiconductor Corporation, based in Irvine, California, designs and develops analog and mixed-signal Integrated circuits. Our products play a primary role in converting the real world of temperature, light, and sound into digital signals used in a wide selection of applications such as electricity meters, point of sale terminals, alarms systems, satellite set top boxes, broadband networks, factory automation and cellular base stations. As we develop new products, we are in search of a Manager, Product & Test Development Engineer for our Irvine, CA location.

 



JOB DUTIES: Responsible for the direct supervision of 7-10 test development and product engineering personnel. Provide technical leadership in defining and developing ATE production and characterization test solutions for communication and industrial IC products. Develop short and long term test development and support strategies. Lead Product Engineering in the qualification of new products. Develop and execute product cost reduction strategies. Work with Design, Operations, Program Management and Quality Assurance teams to define, develop, test, release and support products. Assist in the preparation of project schedules and managing the project?s compliance to approved schedules. Prepare department related project budgets and manage the compliance to approved budgets. Insure compliance with approved product development procedures and standards. Complete personnel reviews on a timely basis, hiring, and assist in subordinate career development for the department. Comply with department and corporate quality policies, procedures and initiatives.

 



EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of industry experience in developing communication and/or industrial IC products with at least 3 years managing engineering teams and projects. A comprehensive understanding of mixed signal, high-speed test equipment programming required. ATE Test platform (Teradyne) experience preferred. Background focused in analog circuits required and digital circuits is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

 



EDUCATION: BSEE required, MSEE desired.
