Manager, Storage, Performance Enhancement

Summary:  The Manager of Takeover/Giveback Performance Enhancement manages a team of developers dedicated to improving the performance of the storage failover process in NetApp storage appliance clusters.  Responsibilities include:


 


·  Leadi an engineering team tasked with achieving ongoing reduction in the duration of client-visible impact of failure and/or planned downtime in NetApp storage clusters.


·  Recruit, retain, and motivate an effective development team that can identify performance issues as well as design and implement solutions.


·  Interact with other engineering managers, engineering teams, and technical leaders to address performance issues in multiple subsystems.


·  Work closely with distributed file system development teams to review architecture, implementation and test plans for development projects.


·  Interact with product release teams to meet schedule milestones and quality metrics.


·  Interact closely with Quality Assurance teams to facilitate testing and validation of development projects.


 


Qualifications (Required):


 


·  BSCS or related field required; MSCS or in related field desired.


·  3+ years in a management or project lead role for complex system software targeted for data center applications for Fortune 500 customers.


·  Demonstrated ability to work with distributed development teams to deliver successful projects.


·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
