Manager of Engineering Operations

NCI Building Systems, L.P., the nation's largest leading steel building manufacturer, has an opening in it's Houston TX facility for a Manager of Engineering Operations.  This candidate will oversee the creation of engineering drawings, internal and external order-related communications, creation and adherence of operations processes and managing all aspects of quality, cost and timeliness of engineering output by the maintenance of performance metrics.  In addition, will oversee ongoing skill development of engineering personnel and provide mentoring and training to engineering group.  Must develop and maintain customer relationships through direct involvment of customer issues, problems and claims.  Will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of work which includes allocating resources and planning team member's work.

 

 

 Skills, Experience & Requirements:

? Civil/Structural Engineering Degree preferred.

? Minimum 15 years experience in Engineering with minimum of 10 in pre-engineering design.

? Travel required as needed; Builder offices and job sites.

? PC competent including Excel, Word and industry specific software.

? Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

? Must have extensive coaching and mentoring skills.
