 Manufacturing Process Engineer



Located in Duncan, South Carolina at the Corporate North American Headquarters

 

Primary Responsibility:

 

This position is responsible for assisting in new program launch activities and optimizing productivity of existing programs.

 

Primary Duties Include:Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex machine issues whether it be in process, material, or machine functionality related; Strive to achieve process optimization through eliminating waste; Reduce cycle times and increase efficiency of automated equipment; Assist in program start-ups involving processes, equipment, machinery, and tools; Investigate new technologies to enable DAA to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing; Maintain plant layouts and related drawings; Responsible for assisting Maintenance in deploying the TPM System; Manage various plant level projects.  Travel is required. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Candidate must have a minimum of an AS degree in Engineering with an emphasis on Manufacturing Machining.  Prefer BS degree in Engineering.


EXPERIENCE:

 

Should be well versed in automated manufacturing experience in automotive manufacturing processes to include foil and leather lamination.Should be familiar with industrial automation controls.  This includes Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, Fanuc and ABB robots and vision systems.Should have strong Project Management and AutoCad skills.Minimum 4 years in process optimization and troubleshooting.Bilingual in German preferred
