Manufacturing Engineer-Electronics

Hella Electronics, located in Flora, IL, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for providing technical support and direction to production and development process in manufacturing to ensure up to date processes that run trouble free to build a quality product in the required amount of time.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other

duties may be assigned.

 

1.  Provide technical leadership to production and manufacturing for less downtime with state of the art equipment.

2.  Establish and maintain process instructions and documentation so operators have good instructions to build a quality product.

3.  Develop and document training for manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure operators are properly trained to produce product.

4.  Develop and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement actions to build a quality product at lowest possible cost.

5.  Environmental health and safety compliance to ensure processes are safe for workers.

6.  Manufacturing process development of new technology requires processes that can utilize the technology.

7.  Provide manufacturing input to new and existing products and programs that are manufacturable.

8.  Establish process and production quality levels to ensure a quality product is produced.

9.  Procure manufacturing equipment needed for new processes or products.

10.  Develop line balancing and line layout to ensure good process flow.

11.  Develop corrective action and preventative actions from document findings and fixes.

 


Education, Skills and Experience

?  Three (3) to five (5) years experience in electronic manufacturing industry.

?  Bachelor degree in manufacturing or electrical engineering.

?  Knowledge of SMT, through hole, and wave solder processes.

?  High level of accuracy.

?  Must be conscientious and maintain confidentiality in daily operations.

?  Conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.

?  Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

?  Troubleshooting and problem solving ability.

?  Must be able to work in a team environment.
