Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment

Overview

We are seeking an individual to join a team that is focused on installing and improving manufacturing process equipment used for producing electro-optical devices based on silicon wafers.  The candidate should be a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of designing new equipment using AutoCAD, fabricating parts in a machine shop, assembling new equipment per the design, and maintaining and troubleshooting all of the equipment necessary for the production of solar cells.  Design experience is a must.  Ideal candidate will be team oriented. This person must enjoy building and fixing things and may have experience with projects involving energy, robotics, or mechanics.

 

The process equipment that is installed may be procured for a specific purpose, modified for a particular application, or specifically developed for its application. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

? Design new equipment such as furnaces, control systems, and automated pick and places

? Assemble new machinery from drawing specifications

? Modify existing control systems

? Troubleshoot and repair process equipment as needed

? Maintain process equipment as needed

? Document mechanical design and changes to existing equipment

 

 

Job Requirements

 

? Fully qualified with the use of AutoCAD inventor software

? Ability to assemble and machine equipment from drawings

? Ability to troubleshoot machine control systems

? Ability to design and modify existing equipment

? Experience using mechanical assembly drawings

? Experience with temperature, pressure, and other sensors

? Experience with electric heater control systems

? Experience with CNC machining

? Experience with PLC programming

? Familiarity with analog signal techniques

? Ability to generate mechanical drawings is a must

? Adhere to all safety and protocol policies

? Ability to work flexible schedule

? Ability to communicate with Research and Development Team

 

Minimum Qualifications

? Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

? 5+ years experience designing electro-mechanical equipment

? Proficient in AutoCAD inventor

? Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

? Excellent communication skills

? Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
