Manufacturing Engineer - Fiber Optics

We currently have an opening for a Fiber Optics Manufacturing Engineer with experience in fiber draw to work at our Charlton Massachusetts facility. The primary function of this position is to support the fiber optics manufacturing operations. Individual will focus on the development of robust processes via optimum utilization of capital, materials, equipment, and human resources. With this framework, the holder of this position is expected to facilitate the operational and financial goals and objectives of the company. These may include responsibility for schedule adherence, cost reductions, production efficiencies, safety, quality, employee training, and introduction of new products and/or processes.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in either Electrical, Mechanical, or Ceramics Engineering with experience in a glass or fiber optics manufacturing environment; experience in medical device manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of ISO, Lean and Six Sigma concepts, experience working with computer-based MRP systems and knowledge of Word, Excel, and statistical analysis are needed. Above average written and verbal communication skills are required.
