At the Charleston, SC facility, Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline & diesel injection and Anti-lock Braking Systems. We currently have 2200 employees in a team environment and in a three-shift, non-union plant. Facilities are modern and fully air conditioned with state of the art equipment.

 

CLASSIFICATION/DESCRIPTION BRIEF:

 

Plan, implement, and support all EV cleaning and CRIN ECM related activities including specifying equipment, tooling, fixturing and process documentation.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Support development of optimized precision cleaning and ECM equipment

 

Develop and execute associate training

 

Support plant wide standardization

 

Support product design and development

 

Establish documentation to fulfill all QS 16949 requirements

 

Support supplier development

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

BS in Mechanical Engineering

 

3-5 years of minimum experience in process development (start up/ramp up experience)

 

PREFFERRED:

 

Skilled problem solver (Shanin, ATS, etc.)

 

Multi-task, detail, and results oriented

 

Support precision cleaning and high pressure deburring equipment, and fixturing (Ransohoff, Surftran, Jen Fab)

 

Support ECM equipment specification and tooling/fixturing (ATMO, Surftran)

 

Support contamination control and monitoring process and measuring equipment (Leica cameras and imaging systems)

 

Materials knowledge (non-alloyed and alloyed steel)

 

Destructive and Non-destructive Testing

 

Metallography (SEM, EDX, WDX)

 

Process monitoring systems
