Manufacturing Engineer (Singapore)

Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.

The purpose of this position is to support the transfer of aerospace manufacturing products from Illinois to Singapore. This would be a 2-3 year Ex-patriot assignment that would require relocation to Singapore. Job responsibilities include tool planning, NC programming & debugging, coordination and support of all manufacturing equipment being transferred to Singapore, training of machine operators and assemblers, inspectors, and training of new Manufacturing Engineers as required. The goal of the assignment is to facilitate the transfer of Rockford Manufacturing, transfer tribal and product knowledge, mentor the new staff in the Changi facility, and support the production ramp-up.

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Advanced degrees a plus.

Required Experience/ Qualifications
(a2Due to Department of Defense work, the candidate must be a US Citizen
(a210+ years minimum experience in Manufacturing
(a25+ years minimum experience in machining
(a2Strong communication skills (written & verbal) required
(a2Strong leadership skills required
(a2Strong computer skills required
(a2Candidate must be self directed, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
(a2Lean manufacturing, gear manufacturing, special process background, complex machining, grinding/honing, tooling/fixturing experience a plus.
(a2Previous experience working cross-culturally, preferably with Asian Cultures
(a2Aerospace experience
(a2Candidate must be willing to travel up to 10% of their time
(a2Experience working capital projects a plus
(a2Design Engineering experience a plus
