Manufacturing Lead – ENDURA

A qualified candidate will be someone that has specific experience installing and maintaining Applied Materials ENDURA semiconductor equipment.  Candidate must have strong electro-mechanical skills.  Good working knowledge of semiconductor arena and wafer fab environment. 

 

Must have good written and verbal communications skills and solid ability to interface with customer and make decisions in the field balancing needs of customer and project progress, profitability and company reputation.

 

Position is based in Phoenix, AZ with 30% travel required

 

This is a senior level engineering position within the operations group.  Candidate must possess the necessary skills to develop scope of work for each project, direct junior level resources on the manufacturing floor and in the field.  Work autonomously and be creative.  The successful candidate will possess advanced troubleshooting capabilities and thorough knowledge of Applied Materials Endura platforms.

 

 

1)  Description of Position

O Support project scope of work definition through quoting and post receipt of customer order

O Develop procurement plan with purchasing team to ensure timely receipt of parts on manufacturing floor

O Develop project schedule and communicate to project stakeholders

O Ensure all project documentation is created and maintained for each project which includes:

o  Build spec

o  Project book

o  Manufacturing build Gantt chart

o  Bill of Materials

o  Manufacturing Action Plans

o  Calibration sheets and requests

o  Weld certification

O Participate in weekly project review meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed and actioned appropriately in order to meet ship commitments.

O Actively maintain work area cleanliness and organization

O Prioritize activities and direct resources accordingly to achieve project objectives

O Communicate progress weekly to the management team that highlights

o  Current project risks and needed support

o  Planned ship date

o  Milestone accomplishments for the week

O Lead final test and assembly activities to ensure project quality and schedule commitments

O Travel to customer sites for installation and warranty of remanufactured equipment

o  Hardware Startup

o  Process startup

o  Ensure release of tool to production

o  Obtain customer final acceptance

O Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts as necessary to complete final test, and installation activities.
