Manufacturing Process Engineer

?  Create specifications, budget, installation plans and actual installation of modifications to existing tooling/equipment, or new production tooling/equipment

?  Develop expertise in the function, operation and capacity of existing tooling/equipment  to identify improvements

?  Investigation of new technologies  in production equipment and methods

?  Study current and future situations to create and present information for the purpose of explaining problems, proposing solutions, or to secure funding for projects.

?  Reduce scrap through equipment and die improvements

 

 

Experience:  Minimum of one-year experience as an engineer, or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Knowledge:  Knowledge of metal casting, quality, and manufacturing processes.  Understanding of the concepts of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

 

 

Required Skills:

 Work  experience or course work in metal castingProficient in AutoCAD, and use of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to read and comprehend mechanical drawingsStrong problem solving skillsAble to work independently, or as part of a diverse teamPlanning and organizational skillsStrong oral and written presentation and communication skills

 

 

Degree:  Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
