Material Handling Automation Engineer

Transformational Supply Chain: Level 8

- Partner with other functions (Ops S&D, GTM, PBSG) to develop and implement materials handling solutions that deliver transformational productivity and service improvements.
- Identify and develop technologies and applications that can be leveraged within the Frito-Lay supply chain
- Assist Ops S&D in creating Start-up, SOPS and roll out plans

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect, analyze and apply operational data in creating a materials handling solution.
- Collaborate within the Frito-Lay cross functional team in order to build consensus and drive the best solutions.
- Support potential and selected vendors by providing relevant data and closing all open items.
- Understand and apply modeling and simulation results to validate and optimize materials handling solutions.
- Support pilot activities to validate the results

- Bachelors Degree required, Engineering or Logistics Degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in Materials Handling
- Working Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to think ?out of box?
- Successful implemented MH solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

- Successful experience in consumer goods supply chain
- Direct knowledge of automated MH solutions
- Understanding of LEAN principles in MH
